"​We had such a wonderful time at The Old Fitz Public House last week. As many of you know, having owned an Irish pub in Converse back in the day, authentic pub vibes are right up our alley—and this place absolutely nails it. ​One thing we really appreciated was seeing how hands-on the owners are. It reminded us of our own days behind the bar, and you can tell that’s exactly what makes a business like this thrive. ​I tried to snag a photo of their massive fireplace, but I didn't want to intrude on the diners enjoying their meals next to it (it’s that cozy!). Speaking of meals, the food passing by our table looked absolutely amazing. We haven't tried it yet, but we are already planning to go back this weekend to dig in! ​Highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for that genuine Irish atmosphere."

"We stopped in for their soft opening today and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, it honestly doesn’t even feel like you’re in Marion once you step inside. It’s very family friendly, and you can tell a lot of heart went into creating this space. We really enjoyed getting to know the owner and his family and hearing the story behind why they opened the pub. You can feel that sense of pride and community in everything they do. The service was welcoming, the food and drinks were great, and the whole place already feels like somewhere we’ll come back to often. So excited to have a spot like this in town! Highly recommend checking it out."

"My family was in from out of town and I had been wanting to take them here ever since I saw it being built! It was such a vibe instead and lived up to expectation for what I hoped it would be for Marion! When I have people over or in town I want to take them to something local and special with unique food and this place fits all those things. Even with the current limited menu everything we had was fantastic! My mom would love to see Reuben and sauerkraut someday on the menu ;) the only downside was the wait being longer than we hoped but it was worth the wait and being their first weekend we were patient. Definitely a must stop, great date place and just anytime you want to go out with friends to someplace more special!"

"Great beer, food, and whiskey selections. I had a Guinness and a Christmas Ale. First time I've seen West Cork Irish Whiskey in a pub/bar. Tried the Irish Stew, Sheppard's Pie, and Fish - Chips. All were excellent and excited to see what else they'll have as they expand their menu."

The fish and chips are next level thanks to their house made tartar sauce, and it's hard to pick a favorite - the Reuben and Paddy Melt are both incredible, and the shepherd's pie is comforting and perfectly executed. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and the cozy, authentic atmosphere makes the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone craving excellent pub food in a warm, Irish setting."

"What a fabulous place! Having spent 4 months in Ireland many years ago I was blown away stepping into the Old Fitz! It was like being transported back to Ireland.
